The solution for a weak grip
Increased safety if you become unconscious
Hybrid
The perfect companion brake
Cycling requires a lot of attention to your surroundings. Children learning to cycle, or people with reduced cognitive function, often have challenges reading traffic.
SmartBrake HYBRID is designed for those who can use a traditional brake lever but need an attendant-controlled brake.
A wireless remote control is a safe and subtle way to provide security. This gives the rider increased independence and sense of mastery, as well as enjoyment from active participation.
Wireless
The solution for a weak grip
Developed for cyclists who need a soft brake handle with minimal resistance to be able to brake themselves.
Wireless brakes enable children and adults with cognitive or physical disabilities to brake independently or be assisted during the activity.
Switch
Increased safety if you become unconscious
SmartBrake SWITCH is a braking solution that activates the brake when the brake lever is released. This can help provide increased control and predictability in situations where the cyclist wants the bicycle to stop automatically if the lever is released.
The solution may be an alternative for cyclists who prefer a different way of operating the brake and who are looking for increased confidence and independence while cycling.

Yes. SmartBrake can be set up so that a companion, parent or assistant can brake the bicycle. This can be useful when the cyclist needs additional safety, for example due to impulsive actions, reduced reaction time or the need for support in traffic and open areas.
SmartBrake can be mounted on many types of bicycles, tricycles and adapted bicycles, but the solution must be assessed based on the bicycle type, brake setup and individual need. You can use the SmartBrake Builder or contact us if you are unsure which solution is suitable.
As a general rule, the bicycle should still have two independent braking systems. SmartBrake is therefore always adapted as part of a complete and safe solution for the specific bicycle and cyclist.
