Spike comes with mechanical brakes that the user activates by pressing the lever mounted on the side of the sled.

Users with reduced grip, hand strength, or upper body mobility may have difficulty achieving the necessary braking force via the mechanical brakes.

Solution

SmartBrake 1×1 kit: 1 brake unit is mounted on the rear wheels (y-split), rim brake. 1 brake trigger is mounted on a ski pole.
The mechanical brake on the front wheel is retained as a secondary brake.
