Adapted activity. More possibilities.
SmartGroup develops solutions that make cycling and outdoor activity accessible to more people. Here is a brief introduction to SmartBrake and Spike, the products you may have seen at REHACARE 2026 or in one of our leaflets.
If you have questions about the products, adaptations, distribution or partnerships, you are always welcome to contact us.
SmartBrake – braking adapted to the cyclist
SmartBrake is an electronic braking system for bicycles and adapted cycles. It offers alternative ways to operate the brake and can be adapted to the cyclist, the cycle and the situation.
- SmartBrake Hybrid combines a conventional hydraulic brake lever with the option for a companion to brake wirelessly from a distance.
- SmartBrake Wireless allows the cyclist or a companion to activate the brake using different types of controllers.
- SmartBrake Switch works in reverse: the brake activates when the control is released. It is designed for situations where this is a more suitable way to control the brake.

Some people do not need an electronic braking system. GripAdapt moves the existing brake lever closer to the hand and can make it easier to reach and operate.

Spike – outdoor activity adapted to different needs
Spike is designed for activity on trails, forest roads, snow and other outdoor areas. It can be used in a seated or kneeling position and is available both with wheels and as Spike Snow for activity on snow.
The solution can be adapted to different users and activities, from everyday activity and outings on gravel and forest roads to winter activity on snow.
